Published three times a year, this publication is the premier source of new home trends and techniques, as well as professional growth for women in the home building industry.

We-Connect eSource:

A quarterly e-newsletter to keep you up-to-date on events and meetings, legislative news, and issues that have an effect on your bottom line. All we need is your email address and this content will be in your inbox the day it’s published.

Web Channel Online Resources:

NAHB Professional Women in Building’s exclusive member-only web channel can be accessed at nahb.org/pwbchannel.  Visit the site often. We feature information on women in the industry, thriving in a family business, trends in building, and professional and personal development.

Networking:

Learn from your peers how to find success as a woman in the building industry. During national meetings held three times a year, members from across the country have the opportunity to join their peers in discussions about key industry issues, professional development and business management. Don’t come to meetings? Online networking opportunities are available on Facebook, LinkedIn, and the Professional Women in Building Member Directory.

Education:

The council offers leadership training at NAHB meetings. Topics include leadership skills, communications skills, time management and public speaking. In addition, educational programs are presented at the International Builders’ Show on topics that will assist your career and your life.

Political Action:

Members are actively engaged in working for political candidates who support the goals of the building industry. Training programs on how to be involved in the political process are held at national meetings or are available through email.

Scholarship Competitions:

The Building Hope Scholarship Fund provides funds for local, state and at-large members. Winners of council and member competitions designate student recipients in their area to receive those scholarships funds. Winners of the Council and Leadership Awards, National Membership Day, PWB Spike Club and other competitions receive scholarships of up to $500 for each award.

The National Housing Endowment Professional Women in Building Council Strategies for Success scholarship is awarded to students pursuing post high school education towards careers in building and related industries.

Educational Grants and Travel Awards:

Members are eligible to apply for “Women of the Future” grants.  The grants provide funding for continuing education related to professional development in the skills needed to advance in the home building industry. Members are also eligible to apply for a Professional Women in Building Travel Grant that supports member attendance at the International Builders’ Show.

Community Service:

Members participate in a variety of projects such as Habitat for Humanity and HomeAid. Providing scholarships for students studying in building-related fields is another way that the council nationally and locally gives tangibly to their communities.

The HBAGC Remodelers represent the interests of the Remodeler, Builder and Associate Members of HBAGC in the area of remodeling. Membership in the Council is open to owners and employees of Remodeler, Builder and Associate Members of HBAGC who are actively engaged in a remodeling business or provide services to the remodeling industry.

The mission of the Council is to enlighten the public as to the need for and the advantages of maintaining their homes in good condition and to encourage ethical conduct and uniform practices among firms in the remodeling industry.

Remodelers in the Council have the opportunity to earn professional designations such as CGR (Certified Graduate Remodeler) or CGA (Certified Graduate Associate through the Regional Education program ).
