NAHB is a leading member of the Construction Industry Safety Coalition (CISC), which has provided HBAGC a detailed plan to outline the steps that every employer and employee can take to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19.

The plan describes how to prevent worker exposure to coronavirus, protective measures to be taken on the jobsite, personal protective equipment and work practice controls to be used, cleaning and disinfecting procedures, and OSHA guidance on what to do if a worker becomes sick, including record keeping requirements.

Illinois Dept. of Public Health COVID-19 Vaccination Plan

Posted March 10th, 2021 at 3:17 PM (CST)
Illinois is currently vaccinating those that are in categories 1B and above.
If you click the attachment and scroll down to page 16 you will see that the next category on deck is 1C (1C includes construction workers). While the state has not announced that 1C can get their vaccinations, you may want to call your pharmacy or local health department to see if they are allowing people in 1C to get an appointment for their vaccine.

To help keep workers safe, employers in Illinois must post this guidance sheet on a worksite or workplace beginning May 1, 2020. Here is the link to the pdf developed by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Office of the Attorney General. Stay safe & enjoy your weekend.
